Applications Engineering / Technical Sales

Ober-Read & Associates, both a manufacturers representative and distributor of industrial pump and vacuum products, is in search of a technically oriented individual for our growing sales department.  This position would involve selection and recommendation of equipment to our customers, and some system design work.  An Engineering or Science background is preferred.  Experience with fluid systems is a plus but not required.

We will provide training on all aspects of fluid transfer and process vacuum system design.  You will in turn generate proposals for equipment and work with our shop staff to see these through to completion.  Our customer base includes major manufacturers and machine designers throughout the United States including such recognized firms as Pfizer, Hewlett Packard, United Technologies, Boehringer Ingelheim, York International, Bristol Myers Squibb, General Electric and many other smaller firms in areas such as semiconductor, pharmaceutical, medical equipment and power systems design.  Here are systems we have designed.

Customer Service / Inside Sales

Mechanic Level I

Ober-Read & Associates, both a manufacturers representative and distributor of industrial pump and vacuum products, is looking for a mechanic to join our shop.  This position involves the disassembly and reassembly of blower and pump products customers have sent to us for reconditioning.  It includes occasional warehousing of parts and products.  It includes assembly of pump/blower products to bases and in packages.  Email resume to info@ober-read.com as an MS Word attachment or fax resume to 203-481-4970.
